Are you planning on having a lazy night on the couch? Welcome to the club.
To help you reach max chill, and to help you avoid the Rose Of Tralee, we thought we’d make a few suggestions for a quality binge-watching session this fine evening.
It should save you about an hour of crippling indecision.
So throw on the kettle, arrange your duvet just the way you like it, have the chocolate biscuits within reaching distance, and turn on one of the following…
1. Orange Is The New Black
If you’ve never bothered with one, or simply haven’t gotten around to catching up on it, this is definitely something to consider for tonight.
Based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, this critically acclaimed show brilliantly portrays life at FCI Danbury, a minimum-security federal prison for women.
2. Chef’s Table
One for the foodies. Two seasons of documentaries that really get behind the craft of cooking by getting into the kitchens of six of the best chefs in the world.
3. Orphan Black
This addictive sci-fi series focuses on Sarah, a con artist who discovers she’s one of many clones who are being tracked by someone plotting to kill the lot of ’em…
4. Jane The Virgin
In this comedy-drama telenovela, Jane Villanueva is a religious Latina (spoiler!) virgin, who becomes pregnant after being artificially inseminated by accident.
Hilarity ensues.
5. Flaked
Plenty of humour punctuated with moments of heartfelt drama here in this show about a man struggling with sobriety in Venice, California. The soundtrack ain’t bad either.
6. Being Human
Ever wondered what it’d be like if a werewolf, a ghost and an Irish vampire shared a house together? Probably something like this.
7. Green Wing
Imagine a funnier, English version of Scrubs, and you’ll have Green Wing.
8. Archer
This animated show follows the adventures of Sterling Archer, a self-centred, alcoholic, womanising, super-spy who works for his mother.
Yes, it’s as ridiculous as it sounds.
9. Scream
If you’re in the mood for a good scare tonight, you’d be well advised to check out the TV adaptation of the classic ’90s horror movie.
10. That ’70s Show
Sometimes you just want an old favourite when whiling away your evening, so revisit Foreman, Donna, Hyde, Kelso, Jackie and Fes for a few giggles.
Because we all love Wisconsin.
