Older Than Ireland – This Film About Irish People Aged 100 And Over Looks Incredible

They say that with age comes wisdom – and the trailer for "Older Than Ireland" shows us exactly why this saying rings true.

This is the story of 30 people aged 100 and over, living on our little island, and talking about their lives and the changes they've seen along the way. Often funny and at times poignant, the film explores each centenarian’s journey, from their birth at the dawn of Irish independence to their life as an elderly person in modern day Ireland.

Covering life events from the seemingly small – the day they got their first pair of shoes, the thrill of their first kiss – and from the magic of their wedding day to the tragic loss of their loved ones, these guys have lived through it all. And having witnessed a century of immense social, political and technological change each one of them has a unique perspective on life and its true meaning.

The film is out in Irish cinemas at the end of September. But even the trailer will get you through until then.
