This DCU Student Is Doing A 20km Swim And Cycle In A Santa Suit On Christmas Day For Temple Street

katedemolder

This Christmas Day, DCU Business Studies student, Paul McGuinness is putting us all to shame.

He’s taking part in student-led charity 100minds, an initiative that’s teaming up with Temple Street Children’s Hospital to fund a new satellite classroom for St. Gabriel’s Ward, which specialises in neurosurgery and craniofacial surgery.

The third year student plans on raising money by both holding a non-uniform day in a secondary school, and taking part in a 20km swim and cycle on Christmas morning.

Keen to indulge in a little Christmas Spirit? You can visit Paul’s profile page and donate here.

He’s nearing his target more and more by the day. We’re hoping he absolutely smashes it by December 25.

He also has a certain prize up for the grabs for those who donate…

Every year, as part of the 100minds initiative, over 120 students from across Ireland are picked and challenged to raise €1,000 in 100 days in entrepreneurial ways.

Each student is mentored by a successful recent graduate from companies like Google and LinkedIn.

What a fantastic idea – and the very best of luck to everyone involved.
