Following the untimely death of Munster legend Anthony ‘Axel’ Foley in late 2016, it has been announced that an Irish legends XV will play an exhibition game with the English squad in order to honour their fallen captain.
The game will be played on the eve of Ireland’s Six Nations clash with England.
And guess who’s joining his ex-team mates on the pitch…
None other than ex-Munster man, Ronan O’Gara.

According to Rugbylad, Ronan O’Gara will indeed be lining out for the legend team for the event, something he doesn’t usually do, but considering his closeness with Axel, he made a special exception.
The special match will take place today at the RDS at 6pm.
