This Is How Many Of You Ordered Food From JUST EAT Last Year

JUST EAT have just released figures for their Irish users habits and it’s safe to say that we’ve really taken to the app.

Having originally launched in 2000 in Denmark and here in 2008, JUST EAT operates the world’s leading digital marketplace for takeaway food as a simple and secure way to order from local takeaway restaurants, allowing customers to either pay online or by cash on delivery.

The newly released figures revealed that JUST EAT had over 750,000 active users in Ireland in 2014. The JUST EAT app has been downloaded over 370,000 times here since it was launched. Over 60% of customers of their customers now order via the app and on mobile devices. Last year alone, the company received over 2 million orders in this country.

The popularity of the company is now reflected in its social media, with over 40,000 followers on Twitter and over 102,000 on Facebook.

Amanda Roche-Kelly, Managing Director of JUST EAT Ireland, said the introduction of their new lunchtime offering of artisan delis, specialist sandwich shops and salad bars has helped boost their popularity: “We now see people saving ten minutes of their time at lunchtime without having to worry about queueing for their sandwich or salad.”

JUST EAT now offers 20 cuisine types including healthy options such as thai, gluten free, coeliac, Japanese and Italian for their users.
