Death by suicide is alarmingly common in Ireland.
2014 saw 459 people take their own life, 368 of them male, and 91 of them female.
However, it doesn’t have to be this way.
Pieta House, an organisation who works for the prevention of suicide and self harm, are currently the charity partner of Aviva, and together they produced this incredibly moving video in an effort to get people talking.
This video was shown before, during the half time and after the Ireland v England match to a huge array of fans, who hopefully listened to the powerful message it conveyed.
Pieta are now 10 years old and have helped with saving over 28,000 people who were experiencing suicidal thoughts.
