Sometimes you just have to leave your desk and get away from the office.
Whether you work with the loveliest team in the world or put down your days in your home office, there’s something about a change of scenery that can boost productivity and increase your energy levels.
There are plenty of places in Dublin where you can get some work down, while treating yourself to a much-needed caffeine boost.
If you’re in the mood for a change of scenery, check out these places.
1. The Clockwork Door
A new spot with a great idea: you pay for the time you’re there. Instead of buying a coffee and staying until the staff start giving you dirty looks, The Clockwork Door asks you to pay for your time instead.
Prices start at 8c per minute, and the minimum is € 1.50. Once you pay for your slot – coffee, tea and wi-fi is all unlimited.
2. Accents Coffee & Tea Lounge
Just off Drury Street, this place is a gem for getting through some work in a more relaxed environment. It has wi-fi and some seriously tasty treats.
3. Dubray’s Books
Bit of a book worm? This one is for you.
There’s a café located above the bookshop so you can take a break, read your new book and procrastinate in peace.
4. Starbucks
We’re huge supporters of independent coffee shops here at LD but there’s no denying that Starbucks is a handy spot when you need good wi-fi and power sockets for your laptop.
5. Cinnamon
It has everything you need to get you through a work day; big spaces and good coffee. What more could you want?
6. Cafe Java
With options for breakfast and lunch, you can easily spend a whole day here. The staff are friendly and there’s lots of room downstairs to work.
7. FüDi
A nice clean setting, with a great selection of hot drinks and free Wi-Fi. Not a huge selection of sockets though, so come with a full battery.
8. 3FE
This place serves some of the best coffee in Dublin, with a nice interior that is free from distractions.
9. Kaph
A cosy little spot that serves fantastic coffee. Get upstairs if you can – it’s a little more peaceful when you’re away from the constant stream of people getting their takeaway coffee.
10. Coffee Works
This little spot is outside of the city centre, but the coffee is not to be missed. It’s newly opened but you can expect there to be a busy crowd, especially during the weekend.
