A Series Of Irish Whiskey Pop Ups Are Coming To The City Starting Next Week

Megan Cassidy

The only downside to our love of whiskey is the fear that we’ll never get to experience the vast array of Irish brands available.

Well, the Irish Whiskey Museum aims to help us get that bit closer by celebrating distilleries from all over the country in a series of whiskey pop ups starting next week.

When it comes to whiskey, the Museum doesn’t discriminate (much like ourselves), allowing guests to taste and learn about the spectrum of whiskeys available at the Victorian Bar overlooking Trinity College.

The pop up series kicks off next week, May 16, with Slane Irish Whiskey straight from their new distillery on the grounds of the legendary Slane Castle.

Guests will sample their perfect pour, Slane Rocks, and learn about the versatility of Slane Irish Whiskey through a cocktail demonstration delivered by co-founder Alex Conyngham and Slane brand ambassador, Will Lynch.

Next in the summer series is Blackwater Distillery on Thursday June 21st – the first distillery in Waterford in 174 years.

From Waterford to Castlelyons in Cork, the third pop-up at sees Ballyvolane House Spirits Company bring Bertha’s Revenge Small Batch Milk Gin to Dublin for a special B&T (Bertha’s & Tonic) tasting just in time to quench the July heat…
