This Dublin Coffee Shop Is Doing Something Very Important Today

Sarah

A very touching, and very important ‘coffee party’ is taking place this Saturday in legendary coffee shop First Draft Coffee.

You may remember that the Dublin barista community held fundraising events last year to raise much needed money for the medical treatments for their fellow barista, Rashel Winn, who was battling cancer.

Sadly, Rashel passed away on her 29th birthday, and in honour of her life and memory, First Draft coffee are throwing an all day coffee party to remember Rashel and raise money for St.Luke’s Hospital in Rathgar.

The guys won’t be charging for coffees for the entire day, and instead will have a donation bucket for people to assist with the hospital fundraising.

The event is BYOB, and will have cuppings of Irish roasters starting at 11am, Live Jazz from 4pm, and all female Latte Art Throwdown from 7pm, and music and cocktails from 9pm.

Sounds absolutely lovely, and a very touching way to remember Rashel’s contributions to the coffee world in Dublin.
