A New Branch Of Hatch & Sons Is Opening On The Northside This Weekend

Sarah

Dublin has its fair share of places to eat and drink for sure, but that still doesn’t stop us from getting giddily excited every time we hear of somewhere new.

Even better is when it’s somewhere that we know and like that’s spreading its wings and bringing its fab food to other areas of the city. Sharing is caring <3

Parnell Square will be the lastest area to get a new yummy neighbour, with Irish kitchen Hatch & Sons opening there at the end of the month.

As if that wasn’t absolutely divine news in itself, they also revealed that they will be basing their second city centre spot in the beautifully historic Hugh Lane Gallery.

If you’ve never been before just wait until you see how pretty it is:

The old-worldly style of the gallery goes perfectly with the vibs in Hatch & Sons, who are all about good, honest Irish food that’s nourishing and simple and classic.

Their current restaurant on Stephen’s Green is a hot spot for city centre workers who want to munch on say, a salad with St.Tola goats cheese, roast pear and candied walnuts.

They also do an impressive range of SIX different types of blaa – dreamy.

Eating here is like eating in your granny’s country kitchen except waaay better (sorry granny).

All the food focuses on fresh, local ingredients, and small touches such as little pots of Glenillen yoghurt with their full Irish brekkies make all the difference.

How would anyone be able to resist this?

Hatch & Sons will be opening in Dublin City Gallery at The Hugh Lane from this weekend and their opening hours are below.

  • Tues – Thurs 9.45am – 6pm
  • Friday 9.45am – 5pm
  • Sat 10am – 5pm
  • Sun 11am – 5pm

A very welcome addition to the Northside for sure, and one we’ll be swinging by the next time we’re visiting the gallery.
