Dunnes Is Set To Open A New Asian Restaurant At Their George’s Street Location

AmyBell

Dunnes Stores will be transforming their former homeware store on South Great George’s Street into two new restaurant spaces.

Fora reported that the chainstore has received the all-clear from the local council to open up the two spaces.

Dunnes closed their store earlier this year and applied for permission to convert it into a new space.

The planning documents show that the retailer plans to set up an Asian fast food restaurant, Neon, as one of the new occupiers.

Dunnes Stores purchased coffee chain, Café Sol two years ago and got the Neon brand with it. The only Neon restaurant is currently based on Camden Street and has been a hit with city workers.

Just look at some of the food on offer:

Neon will take up a 507 square metre unit while Fora reported that a smaller “family-friendly” restaurant will be opened up in the remaining 375 square metre venue.

It is not yet known when the restaurant will be opened, but we’re excited for it.
