I know the struggle, you know the struggle, we all know the struggle when it comes to booking a table at your favourite restaurant bar.
Well, the days of waiting around are over.
There is a new app on the scene called Zazu that launches today and it is available for both iOS and Android.
Their aim is to make booking a table at a restaurant, bar or nightclub in the capital a lot easier.
Zazu promoters are saying that the new app will "enhance your social life" and it is live TODAY.
When you download the app, you create a profile which allows you to search by list or interactive map for all the nearest local food and drink establishments in your area.
There are loads of outlets in Dublin on the app so far and some of these include:
- House Dublin
- The Church Café, Bar & Restaurant
- The Exchequer Dublin 2
- The Exchequer Wine Bar
- The Liquor Rooms
- Union Café Dublin
- Vintage Cocktail Club (VCC)
- Zozimus Bar
- The Greenery
- The Lobster Pot
- The Old Spot
- The Wild Goose
- Tomahawk Steakhouse
They are not just stopping in Dublin, however. Oh no, they are planning to take their helpful app throughout the whole country and hope to set it up in Cork, Limerick and Galway by early next year.
The company said that "the new Irish app Zazu integrates with venues’ own booking systems, so should lead to prompt booking confirmations for customers" and in-app payments are also included for some venues meaning that waiting around for the bill will be a thing of the past.
As of 5pm on Wednesday, around 1,000 people had downloaded the app and around 100 reservations had been made according to The Irish Times so already it is proving very popular.
