Here’s some news to brighten up your Thursday – Ireland’s first Krispy Kreme has been given the official go-ahead.
And it gets better…It’s going to have a drive-through!
The info was published on the Fingal County Council website this week, and spotted by food writer Caitríona Redmond.
Krispy Kreme have been granted planning permission for a retail and production unit in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre which will have a drive through attached. Dublin doughnut fans will be very happy.

The Blanchardstown unit has been granted permission for a “food production area for the proposed cafe/restaurant use, which will also provide for distribution of produce to other outlets, and a drive-through facility”.
That means that unless there are objections to the planning permission, we could all be enjoying Krispy Kreme’s doughy deliciousness very soon.
