One Of Dublin’s Most Exciting Restaurants Is Starting A Take-Away Lunch Service

Hang Dai is definitely one of the most interesting restaurants to open in Dublin in a while and if you’ve been meaning to try it out, now’s your chance.

As well as its evening offering (which we reviewed here), the Camden Street haunt is now offering a new takeaway lunchbox service available from tomorrow, and the first 100 customers will get theirs for FREE.

The Chinese-influenced dishes will be announced each day on the restaurant’s Instagram page, with hungry workers then encouraged to pop down on their lunchbreak, order their lunch at the hatch, take a ticket and then grab-and-go!

There’s also an eat-in option, with the restaurant channeling a “relaxed canteen style” atmosphere for daytime.

There will be five dishes on the menu each day, with all priced between €9 and €13 (including rice/noodles).

Think ‘king prawn with ginger spicy sauce, Chinese leaves and beansprouts’ or ‘red braised pork belly with kale and pumpkin’.

“I wanted to tour around the
different techniques and regions of Chinese cooking from the confines
of the kitchen and deliver a simple lunch menu that packed a punch,
expect five dishes that will rotate and change each week to remain
fresh. We are keen to deliver a relaxed canteen style grab-n-go or
stay and chill vibe,”
said head chef and owner Karl.

Lunch is available from 12pm to 2.30pm and we predict it will be VERY popular.

(First 100 customers tomorrow from 12pm will get free lunch – one per person)
