One Of Dublin’s Slickest Restaurants Is Having An Oyster Festival That All Foodies Will Love

One of the swishest foodie events of the season will be kicking off in Cliff Townhouse with their 6th annual Oyster Fest, a "prestigious dining experience that will bring the delicious and unique flavours of Ireland’s coastal regions to Dublin’s fair city."

Along with their regular variety of oyster offerings (Cliff Townhouse is an absolute haven for seafood lovers in the city), a new signature Taste of Ireland oyster platter has been created by Head Chef Sean Smith that focuses on the idea that ‘when you taste an oyster, you are experiencing the very place from where it was grown.’

And it certainly sounds like a tasty experience indeed.

Highlighting Ireland’s rich heritage and artisan producers, the Taste of Ireland platter includes six varieties of oysters served both fresh and grilled that bring taste buds; from the freshwater Carlingford Oyster prepared with full-bodied Castlebellingham Cheese and Oxtail to Flaggy Shore Oysters grilled with earthy tarragon and spinach.

Available for a limited time from September 7^th – 30^th, the Taste of Ireland platter costing €16.50 includes one of each:

Carlingford Oyster paired with Oxtail and Castlebellingham Cheese
Galway Oyster coupled with Galway Hooker and Blackcurrant
Waterford Oyster with Cucumber and Blackwater Gin
Native Oyster
Flaggy Shore Oyster paired with Spinach and Celery Pernod
Achill Mayo Oyster with Bacon and Cream

You can pop downstairs to Urchin bar for five new signature cocktails, too...

After you get your oyster fix, head down the steps of Cliff Townhouse to Urchin, the cocktail and small bites bar which will be creating five signature cocktails for the month.

The young, funkier watering hole to Cliff Townhouse's classy dark blues and leather, Urchin is a slick spot with banging tunes, childlike colours and and fun cocktails such as their Beaches Be Crazy: Pomegranate Vodka, Lychee Liqueur, Passion Fruit Puree & Lemonade.

Considering it's right off Stephen's Green, this sounds like a pretty fab way to kickstart a night on the town. World class oysters and cocktails followed by a night on the tiles dancing your cares away?
