Petition To Save Dublin Dog Friendly Cafe Reaches Over 25,000 Signatures

Sarah

Local dog owners in north Dublin are devastated after Paws Cafe, a dog friendly cafe in the grounds of Ardgillan Castle, announced it was forced to close.

Paws was a dog friendly cafe which opened in 2016 where dog walkers and families can bring their doggies to enjoy an extensive menu and natural doggie treats for the pooches. Sadly, it announced earlier this month that due to “circumstances beyond our control – and to comply with orders from above – unfortunately PAWS CAFE will be closed for the foreseeable future.”

An online petition to bring back Paws Cafe has now reached over 25,000 signatures online from dog loving locals who are desperate to have it reopened.

Paws Cafe owners left a statement on their Facebook:

Paws provided a fun and friendly space where dog walkers could sit with their dogs at a café table and partake in either hot or cold light food and refreshments.

Dog owners in Ardgillan Park can still bring their pooch to the Castle Tea Rooms.
