Get ready for an entire weekend of incredible food, cooking masterclasses and the most creative dishes you'll find in Dublin right now as Taste of Dublin returns next month.
Dublin's annual foodie fest, this year's theme is ‘Food Lover’s Playground’ and restaurants have been busy dreaming up their own take on the theme to bring to the festival.
Interpretations of the theme include enjoying a cocktail on the top floor of a wooden tram and an entire menu composed of food in various shades of pink.
A first this year at Taste of Dublin is its biggest ever demo stage: the ‘The Neff Taste Kitchen’ where attendees will have the opportunity to watch their favourite culinary idols cook their best recipes.
World Class Spirits and Taste of Dublin have joined forces to unveil the ultimate in
luxury drinks experiences and visitors will be invited to explore fresh and innovative cocktails and masterclasses using the finest in luxury spirits, all expertly crafted by Ireland’s leading bartending talent.
There's also a brand new experience ‘The Lazy Basics’ where Simon Lamont will teach visitors handy hacks in 20 mins so they can impress friends and family at their next dinner party.
In the line-up of restaurants the food lovers theme will be showcased by such restaurants as: Greene’s of Cork, Roly’s Bistro, China Sichuan, The Port House, Saba, Suesey Street, Pickle and Jaipur and Destination Thailand will once again allow visitors to transport themselves to Thailand through cuisine and cocktails.
Booze hound? This year World Class Spirits and Taste of Dublin have joined forces to unveil the ultimate in luxury drinks experiences.
Visitors will be invited to explore fresh and innovative cocktails and masterclasses using the finest in luxury spirits including Roe & Co Irish Whiskey and Ketel One Vodka, all expertly crafted by Ireland’s leading bartending talent.
For the first time, the World Class Bartender of the Year Competition will bring its Irish final to Taste of Dublin with the winner being crowned live at The Iveagh Gardens on Sunday the 17th.
“Taste of Dublin is a four-day gastronomic experience that brings so many styles of food and experiences together. It really is the ultimate food lover’s playground!” commented Taste of Dublin Managing Director, Avril Bannerton.
“But it’s not just all play, Taste of Dublin aims to educate and inspire through masterclasses and specialised workshops where you really learn exciting cooking skills and tips. Discovering more in-depth knowledge of what you’re passionate about as a food lover is the reason Taste of Dublin attracts such a wide audience,” she added.
