Heading for afternoon tea with your mates is definitely one of life's most indulgent experiences.
That said, some venues that things to a whole other level and the new arrival at The Shelbourne might be the best yet.
Say hello to Floral Afternoon Tea!
The menu for the new tea includes savoury sandwiches like Castletownbere 'Turf' Smoked Salmon on Brown Bread and Cherry Vine Tomato with St Tola Goat's Cheese on a open mini bagel.
You'll also get the traditional warm buttermilk scones with clotted cream and jam but the piece de resistance is definitely the sweet treats.
The Flower Pot is a light mascarpone cream with coffee soaked savoiardi biscuit and chocolate sable crumble, and is accompanied by The Rose, a macaron filled with rose and strawberry paté de fruit and a pistachio ganache.
The Daisy Chain consists of lemon mousse, raspberry jelly insert and a poppy seed shortbread, while Cherry Blossom is a chocolate pecan brownie, cherry cheesecake, cherry jam and chocolate mousse.
How incredible does that sound?
The Floral Afternoon Tea at the Shelbourne is priced at €49 per person, or €64 if you want to opt for the Champagne Floral Afternoon Tea.
The in-house florists have also created a bespoke vintage bottle gift set that you can buy for €30 if you want to bring some spring florals home with you!
Move quick, it's only available until the end of July...
