Drumcondra’s New Weekly Food Market Launches This Weekend

James Fenton

A couple of months back, we told you about the new Art, Bites, Crafts‘ (ABC) market which will take place in Drumcondra every Saturday and Sunday. We can now inform you Green Shoes Events will officially launch the market this Saturday and there are loads of things happening which should make for a great day out.

Taking place at the Art & Business Campus next to the railway station, there will be a delectable mix of fabulous food on offer from Bare Naked’s vegan protein bars, to wood-fired pizza from Zero Zero Pizza, drool-worthy churros from Molci and tasty Israeli-inspired offerings from Shouk. Take your pick!

On top of that, there will be a number of delightful crafts on display such as handmade jewellery, gorgeous quirky artwork and homewares as well as vintage items.

You don’t need to worry about leaving the kids at home as ABC is about as family-friendly as they come. There will be face-painting for kiddies (or adults who want to embrace their inner child) a puppet show from No Strings Theatre Company and lots of other lovely surprises on the day.

Also, there will be a live music performance from the ridiculously talented Muireann McDonnell who you won’t believe is just 11-years-old.

The event begins at 11am and runs until 3.30pm with free entry for all and a large car parking space. It should make for a great stop-off point for anyone heading to Croke Park over the next few weeks.

Sure what else would ya be doing?
