If you don’t know by now, my colleague Eadaoin and I go out every week and find the best in every food category, like pizza, burritos and burgers in Dublin.
This week's category was pancakes, so we needed to find out who held the trophy in Dublin.
The way this works is Eadaoin and I each pick a place we think does it best, and the third place is picked by you on our Facebook page.
First up was my stop, Herbstreet.

We opted for the blueberry and orange butter pancakes and got a stack of three, although you can get a whopping six if you’re feeling up for it.
On first glance, they don’t look overly exciting but you are greeted by the smell of the orange butter.
Cut through them and you instantly see there are blueberries lining the inside of each pancake.
Then you start eating and wow. They are moist (most appropriate word, sorry) with the orange butter melting on top and the hot blueberries bursting as you eat them.
Eadaoin would have liked a little more sauce and I would have liked a few more toppings but overall they were incredible, getting 8/10 from me and a 7/10 from Eadaoin.

We popped down to their brand new cafe on Lower Baggot Street and sat down to some of the most aesthetically pleasing pancakes you’ll ever come across.
Berry compote, bee pollen, strawberries, blackberries and even some flowers - these really looked the part.
They're a healthy take on pancakes and admittedly unfair to judge in between others that are not so healthy and rich with sugar.
Although there’s a lot of flavours going on, they’re still quite dry and could do with some extra sauces.
They scored a 6/10 from myself and Eadaoin but definitely great for a healthy option.
Last but definitely not least was Eadaoin’s pick, Alma, which is a small cafe that has just opened on the South Circular Road.
First thing you see with these is that they are drowned with dulce de leche.
They also come with orange mascarpone, pear, orange and candied almonds.
This is a fantastic mix with the flavours bursting in your mouth with every bite and plenty of sauce to satisfy Eadaoin, our very own Simon Cowell.
We both scored these a 9/10 and they are our deserved winners.
