It might seem like July out there at the moment but as we know all too well, the winter chill is never too far away.
To be honest though, we don’t really mind as it opens up a whole host of fashion options.
The single most important purchase you’ll make this season is a decent winter coat, as you’ll be wearing it constantly until January, so it makes sense to splash out on one that you really like.
To help you find ‘the One’, we’ve put together a few options…
River Island Blush Pink Duster Trench Coat (€80)
A classic trench is one of those pieces that you’ll still be wearing in about ten years time and the blush pink shade of this adds a cool twist.
V By Very Colourblock Boyfriend Coat (Littlewoods Ireland, €115)
The online retailer recently launched its trend-led V By Very range and there’s some fab stuff in there, including this great coat. The unusual colour palette means it will work with nearly everything in your wardrobe.
Topshop Tall Vardy Fur-Lined Jacket (€80)
Leather and fur are two trends that come back every A/W so this jacket is a great investment.
New Look Black Faux Fur Trim Padded Longline Coat (€49.99)
There are days when you just don’t want to get out of bed and with this cosy coat, you’ll feel like you haven’t.
Superdry Classic Peacoat (€122)
The double-breasted design of this peacoat gives a nod to masculine tailoring and the grey shade means it will be seriously versatile.
New Look Burgundy Bar Back Split Side Maxi Coat (€44.99)
This is definitely the colour of the season and a welcome change from boring black. An instant touch of high-fashion to your wardrobe.
Next Black Fabric Mix Bomber (€89)
The bomber jacket has been everywhere for this last year but this longer version is a new take on the trend. Plus, it looks so cosy.
Topshop Melton Clean Cape (€117)
If you thought it wasn’t possible to stay looking chic in the rain, think again. This cape is such a statement piece and is ideal for work.
River Island Brown Leopard Print Wool Overcoat (€107)
A printed coat is a great choice for this time of year as it really stands out and adds some personality to an outfit. This leopard print one has tons of attitude, without veering into Bet Lynch territory.
Next Green Patterned Coat (€126)
Searching for something a bit different? Look no further than this beauty, which has a great vintage feel.
Happy shopping!
