If you’ve ever accompanied your mum in Dublin, you’ve quickly realised that there are endless places to take her for incredible food and drink – and yet, you reeeeeeally don't want to screw up.
So whether she’s a hipster mom, regular mom or old-timey mom, there are surely sound spots and activities – not JUST bars and restaurants – that’ll make her day with you all the more special.
Here are some ideas to stock up for her next visit…
Here's a sweet and accessible spot for a lovely wander and stunning views of the water. All mums appreciate a bit of fresh air and time to catch up on life's endeavours.
There's a deadly sunrise out here as well, so if your mum's an early riser – even if you're not – set the alarm clock early, pack breakfast, and hang about here for the morning.
Open to anyone and everyone, this tapas and gastro pub on Fade Street has a varied menu – specialising in tapas dishes – and an eclectic crowd. Prices are extremely fair, and the food is incredibly tasty.

Foley's on Merrion Row will win your mother's heart over with its colourful interior and upbeat vibes.
There's live music until late from 9pm every weekend, there are several giant screens if she's a sports fan, and an upstairs bar that's well-lit with friendly feels.
Smack in the middle of Dublin's Cultural Quarter, the Temple Bar Company hosts a fab market every Wednesday from 3-8pm.
Soak up the lively environment and artsy crafts at each stand. Mammy will love the handmade jewelry and soaps, homemade foods and creative postcards – a perfectly relaxed atmosphere right in the middle of the city.
Gaze out at the Dun Laoghaire Harbour in the outdoor, upstairs terrace with mom. She'll love the prices too – we're talking good wine and craft beer from €2.50.
I would argue this is the best market in Dublin. Stocked with fresh produce, delicious bread and pastries, creative crafts, sweet treats and the best seafood chowder around.
You could spend all afternoon wandering through here, tasting goodies and chatting with the friendly market staff.

You'd never come here with friends – but if your mammy is an overseas visitor, stepping into this Temple Bar pub is sure to put a smile on her face.

This restaurant in Dublin has recently moved to East Side Taven on Leeson St, and does absolutely mouth-watering food and drink prepared by some of the most talented chefs in the city, along with a cosy and modern environment.
The cocktails are on point as well, if mom is looking to treat herself.
It may not be your first choice, but it sure will be your mother's. Genuinely, she'll love you for suggesting this.
Go for a nice dinner and drink in town, then head to the theatre to get comfortable and enjoy a bit of... yup, you guessed it: Riverdance.
Both the Stag's Head and the International Bar host comedy clubs every week, and they're defo worth checking out – especially if your mom has a witty sense of humor.
