The recession is now a distant memory and it seems we might have lost the run of ourselves. Shops are coming out with outrageous and expensive products that we seem to lapping right up.
Here is a list of items for sale that are pure notions:
(Is it bad that we want them all?)
We absolutely love our bed, in fact if we could we'd probably spend all day in it. Would it be so terrible to dish out almost a grand for a luxurious bed spread to be in months of debt? probably.

As glam as this little number is, it is laced with notions. For €47.50 we can't see how you would fit more than a bracelet or two in this tiny trinket.
The diamond embellishment is just the cherry on top.

Us millennials love two things, gin and notions. Seeing the two combined, we couldn't resist adding this beauty to our list. For €50 you can make your own gin at home. This will be the perfect opportunity for you to show everyone how full of notions you really are.
We won't lie, we really want this.

We totally get that it's nice to have some confetti to throw about the place at parties and weddings. However, this measly bottle of petals that could have been picked from our back garden for €7.99 is a bit too far.

Sure, we've heard of the odd nettle soup, but nettle cordial? If you ask us that's just full blown notions. There's no denying that we are still intrigued to try it though.
€4.60 for a very small bottle, sure look!

This little invention seems like a good idea but €20 is just a bit overpriced for us.
Pretty sure the torch on our phones will do for the time being.

We think that this fluffy duster is more aesthetically pleasing than practical. We can definitely see ourselves buying this for €16.95 and never actually using it, hoovers get the job done quicker.

We love keeping warm so buying a hot water bottle is a usual winter purchase of ours. We had to stop however, when we came across this hot water bottle in Brown Thomas for €60. It looks so fluffy and cosy but we just can't justify spending that.

This is probably our favourite find of the day - A wine aerator. For €28.50 you can decant your wine one glass at a time. This little device blows oxygen directly into the wine to apparently bring out its full flavour and aroma.
We can almost taste the notions.
