We’ve only gone and made a definitive list of the best boutiques in Dublin’s ‘burbs.
Why, you may ask? Because we like to get away from the Grafton Street / Henry Street madness once in a while...

Their Ranelagh boutique is gorg (as is their original Monkstown shop). Either way we're talking slogan sweatshirts, posh scented candles, gorgeous jewellery and the perfect pair of jeans. Seagreen is one of our favourite places to float around on a lazy, post-brunch, Saturday afternoon.
While you’re in Ranelagh, make time to stop off in this beaut of a store. There are day dresses, unique accessories and brilliant greeting cards in here to beat the band.
Now don't worry, we aren't for a second assuming you’ll be able to afford anything in here...
Havana is POSH - but thats’s the point: you can swoon over the designer pieces in here all weekend long. Simone Rocha, Rick Owens, Haider Ackerman... So go on, have a good nose - then off to Penneys with you!
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Donnybrook, Electra is a new boutique making its mark.
The decor is so cool - there are even a few NCAD graduates' pieces on the walls - and the accessories here are to die for. Vanessa Bruno, Michael Kors, Aurélie Bidermann. Enough said.
Anyone looking for some top notch occasion wear, debs dresses or wedding ensembles have got to check out Cari’s Closet in Malahide.

This gem of a store, on Vernon Avenue in Clontarf, sells the most covetable designer pieces for a fraction of the price PLUS proceeds go to the To Russia With Love foundation.

Hidden away in Fairview’s Marino Mart, Quack and Dirk is stocked full of vintage and handmade clothes and accessories. This truly is one of the suburb’s best kept secrets.
