You may never have heard of the #PubCup but believe us when we tell you that it is one of the most fiercely competitive contests in Dublin.

This knock-out competition pitted 32 of North Dublin's finest watering holes against each other and it all come down to the wire now, with just two left in the running.

In the red corner... we have Harry Byrne's of Clontarf. It dates back over 200 years and it has been tirelessly fighting the good fight on social media in a bid to win the #PubCup crown.

In the blue corner... we have Kavanagh's in Marino.

They lay claim to "serving lovely alcohol and fine food" and have taken to enlisting the local GAA clubs to get them over the line.

That all-important vote is running over on the @FMLocalHistory account with Harry Byrne's with a short lead at the moment.

We'll be watching this one closely...
