An Exciting Street Festival Is Hitting Smithfield Square This Saturday

Stuck for what to do this weekend? We have your plans sorted, no need to look up anything else lads, it’s decided: You should hop down to Smithfield Square this Saturday for the annual Bluefire Street Fest.

The square will be transformed into a deadly mix of live street art, street performers, music from around the globe and delish food and drink stands.

Here’s just some of what to expect:

Music…

Top notch music from the likes of Libyan born, Dublin raised legend that is Farah Elle, who’s performed at Electric Picnic and Body & Soul.

Mad skillz…

Workshops where you can get to grips learning Forró dance moves, studying how to be a class slam poet, developing your kick ass drumming beats, or discovering the latest DJ techniques

Surprises at every corner…

From Chinese Lion dancers to Burundi drummers, stilt walkers and fire dancers; a simple walk around the square is sure to provide an adventure!

Yum food…

With stalls serving grub from all corners of the globe, you defo won’t be going hungry at Bluefire’s Street Fest. Grab a snack and chill out in the Third Space outdoor cafe zone.

After hours partying…

The street fest technically goes on until 8pm, but Bluefire After Hours is bringing even more events to the city throughout the night, including a comedy show in the Generator Hostel followed by a DJ set spinning Afro-Funk, or a TED-style talk on how to integrate different cultures into the community.

Sounds like a fab day out, doesn’t it?
