Dunnes Stores On Georges Street Will Soon Become Two New Restaurants

Éadaoin Fitzmaurice

Dunnes Stores Homewares on George’s Street Dublin 2, is planning to make a big change in the coming while. There are plans to convert the large store into two licensed restaurants, possibly in partnership with existing operators from the area.

The store has recently closed its doors but is now seeking planning permission to change the existing site.

The company has been making quite a few changes in recent times including the introduction of much more designer products including clothing, homeware and food.

Dunnes also own Considered, a restaurant specialising in gourmet sandwiches and lunch bites.

Daughter of Dunnes Stores owner Margaret Heffernan, Anne Heffernan and niece Sharon Mc Mahon are currently the directors of all Dunnes Stores companies across Ireland.

We look forward to seeing what’s in store for this site…
