& Other Stories is definitely the most buzzed about store opening of the year.
From the fashion heads who brought you H&M and COS, & Other Stories is a womenswear, accessories and make-up mecca that, so far, only has a handful of locations around the world.
Ok, so we STILL don't have an exact date for the official store opening (though we have been promised it'll be this side of Christmas), what we DO have is a little sneaky peek of what to expect from the fashion haven.
We went along to the preview yesterday in the very cool Marsh's Library to see what all of the fuss is about.
We have the low down. Here's what to expect.
The clothes
There are more than a few granny-chic numbers here that you'll either love or hate, but there are also some gorgeous staples. The simple trench coat is a wardrobe staple, while the billowing black silk dresses, sequinned jumpers, patterned jackets and all of the crushed velvet pieces had a very Christmas-party-season vibe about them. The clothing starts from in and around €79.
The accessories
These are the stand-outs of the day. The shoes, bags, jewellery and sunglasses are gorgeous, the quality is great and they won't cost you the earth, either. Jewellery starts from €29, shoes from around €79 and bags from approx €29.
The beauty bits
Honestly? We died and went to heaven we we got a whiff of the beauty offering from & Other Stories.
The make-up looks gorgeous, the body balms, fragrances and body scrubs and oils smell incredible, and we want one of each of the very posh candles. We reckon this is what'll really drive traffic into the Dublin store. To give you an idea of prices, nail polishes cost €7, a blusher duo costs €15 and candles will set you back €19.
The verdict?
The store is going to be beautiful, and there'll be plenty of beauty swag to be had. Clothes and accessories are going to set you back a bit more, but the quality is excellent and buying a piece from these guys guarantees a uniqueness that you won't find anywhere else on the high street.
Soon as we have an opening date in the diary, we'll let you know!

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
(and Always) It’s never been more vital to support Queer-Owned Spaces in Dublin. Put your money where your morals are as often as you can. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I know that the people who run our bars, restaurants, and cafés shape the atmosphere more than the decor or the playlist ever […]
