There's something about being tanned that just feels so good.
I'm as pashty and pale as they come, and would normally DIY and use my beloved Cocoa Brown at home but in recent times I've opted to go further afield for a few special occasions and get a spray tan.
Because we all know that trying to tan your own back is harder than Leaving Cert maths.
Don't forget to exfoliate now, y'hear?
1. Rouge Beauty, Ranelagh
Me trusty local.
Rouge Beauty stock three different brands – Xen Tan, St Tropez and Bellamianta Tan.
Full body tan costs €25, although with the Xen Tan you can do a half body for €15, so if you're just showing off your legs for the weekend that'll be handy.
2. Brazilia, Sandyford/South William Street
They do a good deal here in that you can get one spray tan for €25, two for €40 if you have more than one occasion coming up, or if you're really addicted to being bronze then you can get four for €80 plus one completely free!
Brazilia use Lyco-Bronze Rapid spray tan, which develops super quick and is made from plant-derived pigments giving you a flawless, streak-free tan! Win, win.
3. Jules Beauty – Grand Canal Dock
Jules have several salons around Dublin – Malahide, Swords and Ashbourne.
They use Bronze Leaf and Bellamianta tan. A full body of Bronze Leaf is €35 while half is €20 and a full body of Bellamianta is €25.
However, they offer a body exfoliation, shower and Bronze Leaf spray tan for €55!

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
(and Always) It’s never been more vital to support Queer-Owned Spaces in Dublin. Put your money where your morals are as often as you can. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I know that the people who run our bars, restaurants, and cafés shape the atmosphere more than the decor or the playlist ever […]
