We bet there's hundreds of places you've never explored, and secrets and titbits of history that you never knew. But for one weekend you'll be able to find out...
Open House Dublin is a huge architecture festival taking place from the 13-15th October, and it will open up houses and buildings in the city that you're not usually able to explore.
The site is comprised of an Early Christian Church, Graveyard (in ruins), a Medieval Fortified Townhouse (with all its defensive features intact), a refurbished Victorian Town Hall.

The tour will visit the former cattle markets, glass works, scavenging depots, and Francis Johnson's Asylum for Industrious Children in Smithfield and Stoneybatter.

Step inside four houseboats stationed in the Grand Canal Docks to see if life on the water could be for you! Homes on show include The Adriana, a Dutch barge built in Holland in 1898 as a working boat and converted into a liveaboard leisure craft in the 1980’s.
This historic flat is part of the Iveagh Trust complex. Uniquely it has been retained in its original condition at the expressed wish of the late tenant, Nellie Molloy. In 1907, Henry and Anne Jane Molloy returned to Ireland from Scotland and obtained accommodation with the Trust, first residing in 4 and 5 B, before settling in 3B, a three-room flat, from June 1915, at a rate of 5 shillings and six pence a week.
