Happy Hump Day: 6 Deadly Events To Look Forward To This Weekend

Now that we've made it to Wednesday, the weekend is in our sights. 

Thankfully there's loads on this weekend to get excited about, too, so if you're stuck for some weekend inspiration look no further. 

1. Al Porter plays Vicar Street 

One of our favourite (and best dressed) Irish comedians takes to the stage this Friday. Tickets are €25 and belly laughs are guaranteed. 

Get on it. 

2. 'The Girl On The Train' hits cinemas 

We've been waiting for this for quite some time. The gripping thriller by Paula Hawkins finally hits theatres this Friday, featuring some top quality talent too,  including Emily Blunt and Justin Theroux. 

This looks deadly.

3. Ireland take on Georgia at the AVIVA 

There are still tickets left for the the Republic of Ireland's second World Cup qualifier this Saturday in the Aviva. 

Get yourself a serious feed in Asador first, then go cheer on the boys in green. 

4. This absolutely savage brunch is happening at House 

Our October Brunch Club takes place this weekend in the lush setting of Leeson Street's House.

5. Mattress Mick makes his big screen debut 

We are way too excited about the mattress tycoon's documentary, set to hit cinemas on Friday.

6. Lost Fridays at the RHA Gallery 

Hennessy host these monthly parties at the RHA Gallery, complete with Hennessy cocktails, DJ sets and art installations. 

This Friday's party features David Holmes (he's set to play a five-hour set) plus gallery tours, screen printing with Damn Fine Print and a record Fair. 

There'll be tickets on the door on the night.
