Here’s What You Need To Know For To Longitude This Weekend

If you’re heading to Longitude this weekend then there’s a few things you might wanna take note of. 

Sure, bring all the glitter you want, but did you know you’re seriously not allowed to smoke in the Arena tents?

Here’s everything you need to know to have a stress-free, rule abiding (lol) weekend:

Opening Times

Longitude 2017 takes place from Friday 14th July – Sunday 17th July.  

Arena Gate Opening Times: 

Friday – 1.30pm 

Saturday – 1:30pm 

Sunday –  1.30pm

Age Restrictions

No unaccompanied under 16’s are allowed on site. All under 16’s require a ticket to the event and must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult, parent or guardian over 18. Note you may be asked to prove your age with photo ID or you will be refused admission.”

Acceptable forms are: Passport, Garda Age Card, Driving Licence

Acceptable forms of ID for Under 18’s are: School or College ID PLUS a colour copy of your in-date passport.

Bag Policy

Large bags and backpacks will not be allowed in to the festival, only small bags measuring no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm x 11.7in/29.7cm) will be permitted into the event. Bags smaller than A4 will be searched on entry, to avoid lengthy queues, organisers strongly advise that you do not bring a bag.

There will be no cloakroom or storage facilities. Bags must not be left at entrances or surrounding areas.

Festival Entry

  • Please do not arrive at the event intoxicated as you will not be permitted entry.
  • There is no re-admission to single day ticket holders.
  • Wristband exchange is only for people with 2 day or 3 day tickets. Wristbands removed from the wrist or tampered with in any way will be deemed invalid and will not be replaced

Smoking Ban 

Smoking including use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted in enclosed public spaces or buildings including Arena big tops and tents.

If you do smoke, please use the butt bins to dispose of your cigarette ends, particularly in the woods.

Things You Can’t Bring

Glass – no glass is allowed anywhere onsite for safety reasons

Illegal substances and legal highs

Nitrous Oxide

Portable Laser Equipment and Pens

Unauthorised Professional Recording Equipment*

Megaphones

Gas Canisters and Aerosols over 250ml

Umbrellas

Excessive amounts of cigarettes. Only bring enough for personal consumption.

Soft drinks bottles, with the exception of sealed soft drinks bottles (up to 500ml)

Friday is looking warm but a bit cloudy, Saturday is probs gonna be fairly grey, and Sunday? Bring that rain coat lads.
