We all like travel, both we LOVE cheap travel.
There's something incredibly satisfying about booking your dream holiday without breaking the bank - and it gives you extra money to spend on beach beers and tasty dinners.
So, is it down to good luck?
Well, not according to the folks at Kayak.ie, who have revealed some of their top tips for nabbing the perfect affordable breakaway.
Here goes...
Research has found that Irish travellers can save up to 56% on flights to Europe - if they book at the right time. Big savings can be made on trips to destinations like Spain and Portugal if you get the details sorted six months ahead of departure.

Closer to home, flights to London are cheapest when booked two months out, while it is perhaps more of a surprise that the same is true of New York City.
However, more planning is needed in order to score savings to other popular long-haul destinations - with flights to Bangkok and Las Vegas offering their best deals when booked five months in advance.

Irish tourist destinations often offer their lowest prices just one to two months ahead of your desired date. This can save you up to 37% in Amsterdam and a whopping 53% for Barcelona.
The same goes for the United States, with the experts advising you book one month ahead for New York and Orlando, or two months for Las Vegas and San Francisco.

Dubai is a bit of an outlier as you'll find the best value here by booking nine months in advance.

Alicante, on the Spanish coast, is the cheapest European destination, while those looking for something a bit further afield should consider Cape Town.
For both destinations, finding the best airfare requires some advance planning, with seven months ahead of departure required to take advantage of a potential 13% in savings for Alicante, and five months prior to take off needed for up to 27% off tickets to Cape Town.
