A hotel getaway is the ultimate indulgence and allows you to leave all the stresses of real life behind – even if it’s just for one night.

When it comes to relationships, it’s so important to take some time out to enjoy each other’s company and a break from discussing bills, work and in-laws!

There are some stunning locations around Ireland that are ideal for a romantic escape so we’ve rounded up a few for you to consider!

No. 1 Pery Square, Limerick

Limerick is one of our favourite cities for a good night out and this elegant hotel has a range of period and club rooms, each named after either an Irish poet or a former resident of the building. It’s centrally located, just a stroll from some great restaurants and nightlife options, and there’s a spa on site as well!

No. 1 Pery Square offers a Couples Romantic Spa Escape package from €129 per person sharing, which includes overnight accommodation with breakfast, relaxation time in the thermal suite, a couples aroma bathing ritual, a glass of bubbly each and a side-by-side back, neck and shoulder massage each.

Wineport Lodge, Co. Westmeath

Do you know what says romance to us? An outdoor hot-tub. Luckily, the divine Wineport Lodge has a lakeside one so you can soak your cares away as the night falls. The hotel started life as a restaurant so the food is top notch, with treats like dry-aged striploin steaks and fillet of hake with tunisian potato and vegetable shakshuka on the menu.

A midweek overnight stay in a lakeview room at Wineport Lodge with breakfast in bed and afternoon tea starts at €229 per room.
