Is This The Weirdest Bedroom For Rent In Dublin Right Now?

Alana Laverty

We haven’t seen anything overly bizarre on the likes of Daft.ie and myhome.ie of late.

Sadly.

Until today… when we spotted this lil gem for rent for €500 per week (!!!) on Daft.

The location itself is superb, right between Grand Canal and Merrion Square.

But the “apartment” itself leaves a lot to be desired.

From the outside, everything looks just find and dandy.

Nicely secured and gated, and there appears to be plenty of parking!

It looks like the apartments have nice lil balconies with double doors that you can chill on and admire whatever view you have.

But this particular apartment ain’t upstairs, so no balcony for you, my friend.

It’s a bottom floor, mash up of weirdness.

The kitchen looks grand.

As does the little living area.

It’s when we move to the bedroom that things start to get a lil freaky…

I don’t know about you, but there’s something about having a door right behind my head that just doesn’t appeal to me.

You’d be so nervy. Especially since it’s a glass door.

Like if it were cheaper, perhaps I wouldn’t mind. But for €499 per week I would rather not sleep with an entry/exit point where I lay my head.

And would a curtain really go amiss?

I would genuinely love to see this place in person, because it’s hard to grasp the floor plan from these photos.

Is the bed in the sitting room? Is it in a separate room? Who knows?
