The current renting situation in Dublin is beyond unacceptable. With the average rent price in the city now at €2,000 - this tweet puts it all into harsh perspective.

Just to make ourselves (and you) feel extra nauseous, we had a look at what you can get in New York right now for roughly the same price. 

The comparison is ridiculous. 

1. This Main Street studio apartment with river and park views, $2,370

2. This Carnegie Hill studio with 24-hour concierge and doormen, valet and package rooms, roof-top health club, and spectacular views, $2,420

3. This midtown studio at the heart of Manhattan with central park as your back garden, $2500
