Dublin rent is probs talked about at least once a day, and only right too. It's madness. People queuing for houses on open viewings and sharing three to a room or bunk beds needs to stop.
You can either afford to pay through the roof for a swanky apartment or you can barely manage to move out at all. Sadly, it's rarely in the middle.
So with that in mind, we looked on Daft.ie for the most expensive apartments and the cheapest that are available to rent in Dublin right now.
And unsurprisingly, the difference between them is pretty grim.
The most expensive apartment to rent in Dublin right now is Alexander Court, Fenian Street, Dublin 2 for €10,000 per month
"One of the largest luxury penthouse apartments in Dublin with nearly 6,000sq feet of accommodation", this four-bed apartment has views all over Dublin city with a rooftop lounge and a large dining room with the dining table an exact replica from that of the Titanic ship, with seating for up to 10 people.
All four bedrooms are ensuite and have separate dressing rooms and a new gym is opening in the building which you'll have access to.
You think renting by the week is grand until those pesky five week months roll around and suddenly your budget gets thrown out the window, eh?
This is a studio flat "suitable for one person" that is apparently ensuite. Which we're guessing means the bathroom is literally in your nose considering the bedroom, living room and kitchen are all in the one room.
The bed looks like it's in a wardrobe. In fact, we're pretty sure it is.
We don't envy anyone trying to find a place to call home in Dublin right now.

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
(and Always) It’s never been more vital to support Queer-Owned Spaces in Dublin. Put your money where your morals are as often as you can. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I know that the people who run our bars, restaurants, and cafés shape the atmosphere more than the decor or the playlist ever […]
