This Donnybrook Home Is Straight Outta A Brothers Grimm Fairytale

Just because it’s Friday, we thought we’d start the day off with a healthy dose of raw jealousy…

This leafy home in Donnybrook D4 has us half seething with rage, half swooning with love. 

Belmont House dates from 1760 or “possibly earlier”, according to its listing on Daft, and is self described as one of the oldest houses in South Dublin. We have to admit, we are absolutely smitten with it.

The ivy wrapping around the entire Georgian home is like something from a fairytale, and comes with five bedrooms and three bathrooms.  

It’s a peaceful haven just outside of the city 

And the rooms are bright and tastefully decorated 

The interior is all charming high ceilings, period fireplaces, original doors and tall sash windows.

Who wouldn’t love waking up to that beautiful bay window view?
