We’ve always dreamed of having our very own stylish retreat that’s right in the heart of Dublin city, with a little garden, lots of bright light and maybe the odd red brick thrown in for good measure.
An impossible dream, some may say. But we’ve found it.
The holy grail of gaffs for socialising in the city is a small cottage in Christchurch at the end of a cul-de-sac which has been transformed into a wonderful, contemporary home.
5 Francis Square is a two bed, one bathroom terraced house with floor to ceiling windows, giving views out toward St Patrick Cathedral and entry to the house is via a private courtyard.
To the right and down the hall are two double bedrooms, both have solid wood floor as and the master looks out into the cul-de-sac.
The living room is upstairs which makes the most of the views and all that bright bright light, while wandering outside you’ll find a superb south facing courtyard which is ideal for al fresco dining.
And by al fresco dining we mean al fresco wining.
At €450,000 it’s gonna have to stay a mere dream for the moment, unless we strike gold on a scratchcard, but one day – one day all those magnolia walls will be ours.
Check out the full listing here and weep.
