These days, there's an app for everything and we've often stumbled across some weird and wonderful ones while browsing.

However, Android users have been warned that several apps in the Google Play store could install malware without your knowledge and leave you open to having your information leaked.

Security company McAfee has claimed that the Wallpapers Blur HD and Booster & Cleaner Pro should not be downloaded as they contain LeakerLocker - a virus that access private information such as pictures, messages and internet history and send it to your contacts.

The malware locks your home screen and demands a payment of $50 to prevent it from sharing your information.

The apps have been downloaded 15,000 times already so spread the word!
