Does the thoughts of gazing into your beloved’s eyes over a candle lit dinner (surrounded by tables of other couples doing the same thing) fill you with dread?
Yep, us too.
Amen for The Sugar Club then, who are hosting a movie date night for Valentine’s Day with one of the best movies of the 90s AND free Lir chocolates.
Lir, the Irish chocolate maker, has team up with The Sugar Club to make their screening of ‘True Romance’ an irresistibly sweet event.
Guests arriving at the venue at 8pm on the 14th of Feb will enjoy the Club’s smooth, soul soundtrack and can avail of a delightful range of cocktails, wine and beers and even order pizza before taking their seats, with complimentary gourmet popcorn and a delicious box of Lir Chocolate Truffles for the film screening at 9pm.
True Romance is a cult-classic about a lonely pop culture geek who marries a call girl, steals cocaine from her pimp, and tries to sell it in Hollywood. Meanwhile, the owners of the cocaine – the Mob – track them down in an attempt to reclaim it.
The screenplay was written by Quentin Tarantino and it’s an absolute powerhouse of a film.
Did we mention there were free chocolate truffles?…
Every couple attending the event will be presented with a stunning art-deco style box of cocoa-dusted Truffles, which are available in three irresistible flavours: Marc de Champagne, Salted Caramel and Milk Chocolate.
I got a box of these bad boys for Christmas and they were divine.
Tickets for the movie are €12.50 – a steal considering a box of choccies is €9.50.
Plus, if you forget to get your date a gift you can always just give her the truffles… Genius.
