There’s Gonna Be A Halloween ‘Horrorthon’ In This City Centre Cinema

One of Dublin’s coolest cinemas, the IFI is hosting the ultimate Halloween horror movie marathon – their IFI Horrorthon.

With over 30 titles confirmed, almost all screening for the first time in Ireland, you can bet you’ll be well spooked over Halloween weekend.

The horror flick bonanza will take place from the 26th-30th October…

The full line-up will be announced closer to the time, but for now, here’s a small selection of what lies in store…

THE ENDLESS

The directors of Spring (2014) return with a surprising and unpredictable film that burrows its way under the viewer’s skin. Two brothers struggling to make ends meet receive a videotape from the cult they escaped from a decade previously, and which they have since publicly denounced, that entices them into returning to the cult’s property, Camp Arcadia. What starts as a seemingly benign visit becomes something else as unnerving details accumulate.

HABIT 

Adapted from the novel by Stephen McGeagh, Simeon Halligan’s Habit is set in the dark, troubled underbelly of Manchester. Michael, a man with no direction in life, meets Lee (Jessica Barden), who works in a massage parlour, and helps him get a job as a doorman there. After witnessing the violent death of one of the punters, Michael is drawn deeper into the club’s secrets in this gritty British horror.
