If you’re anything like us you’ll find that you usually end up heading out for drinks in the same old places every single weekend. All well and good yeah, but it’s nice to change it up now and again.
You’ll be intrigued then, by a slick night next Friday 7th July, which promises “colour, creativity and cocktails”, held in the uber-cool surroundings of the Royal Hibernian Art Gallery.
RHA’s Hennessy Lost Fridayis returning after a sold-out event earlier in the year for a July special, where there’ll be live music from upbeat, electro-pop band Ships, experimental electronic producer Wastefellow, and Cork DJ Niamh Ní Shúilleabháin aka DJ Hula Hoops to finish off the night in true party form.
Dancing away with insane works of art in the background? Yes plz.
Oh, and naturally there’s gonna be a heap load of Hennessy cocktails to sip on too…
Not just a night of music, if you arrive early you can enjoy a free walking tour of this summer’s ultra impressive RHA Annual Exhibition with Director Patrick T. Murphy.
Exhibiting a vast array of artworks from painting, drawing, sculpture to print, photography and installation based work there’s something for everyone in this show.
Being in an art gallery, why not get some free, intricate body or face art done by the fabulous Dublin Body Painting Jam who will be on hand to make you colourful and cray.
And what we’re secretly looking forward to the most? Artist Colm Mac Athlaoich will be doing free caricatures for people to take home, and giving 15 minute lessons throughout the night.
Tickets can be bought here for €20 (+booking fee) and include two complimentary Hennessy cocktails. Yum.
