This Dublin Cinema Is Introducing Two New Luxury Screens

AmyBell

The cinema scene in Dublin is enjoying a real renaissance at the moment, and just in time for Oscars season too.

The re-opening of Stella cinema in Rathmines brought some serious retro glam to the table, and now Odeon in the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is set to get a massive makeover.

The cinema will undertake exciting renovations over the next five weeks that will see the addition of not only Odeon Cinemas Ireland’s first IMAX screen, but their iSense screen is being transformed in Odeon Luxe.

Odeon Luxe will see 340 very fancy recliner chairs be installed into their massive screen 1 which will have extra leg room and personal space for every guest along with retractable tray tables for your cinema goodies.

They will look similar to this:

The iSense screen is popular for movie goers who can watch the latest release on the curved 4k projection screen with Dolby ATMOS 3D Sound.

Odeon Blanch is also set to get their own IMAX screen which will be an Odeon first in Ireland and it will also have the reclining chairs.

The cinema in Blanchardstown not only be one of the first IMAX screens in Europe to have fully reclining seats, but it will be the first cinema in Ireland to offer both Odeon Luxe iSense and IMAX experience.

The two exciting screens are set to be open from December 4 – just in time for the Star Wars: The Last Jedi release on December 15.
