TLC Have Just Pulled Out Of Metropolis… But The Replacement Acts Are Just As Exciting

Okay guys, we know, we know – you wanted to sing ‘No Scrubs’ and ‘Waterfalls’ with your gang at Metropolis festival next month…

Well, we’ve just received the unfortunate news that, due to a back injury sustained by T Boz  (Tionne Watkins), TLC have been forced to reschedule their European Tour of UK, Germany and France –  which also includes their performance at Metropolis Festival.

Don’t start panicking though, because there is always a silver lining in every cloud. And by silver lining, we mean absolutely gleaming new acts!

For those of you who bought Sunday tickets especially to see TLC, you can get a full refund from Ticketmaster, but let us tell you about the acts they got coming first…

Here’s who will be taking to the stage instead…

1. Norwegian heavyweight TODD TERJE! A disco don and house music maestro, he’ll be bringing you his signature fusion of deep house, electronica, funk and nu disco.

 2. West Philadelphia’s DJ JAZZY JEFF! Since 1985, DJ Jazzy Jeff has wowed audiences with his flawless turntable skills, innovative production and musical versatility.

Classic songs like ‘Boom! Shake the Room,’ ‘Summertime’ and ‘Girls Ain’t Nothing but Trouble’ led to platinum album sales and international stardom.

3. In the short time he’s been on the scene, DENIS SULTA has rocketed into the big leagues of dance music and established himself as a global talent. (Resident Advisor). 

4. Australian DJ MALL GRAB has been described as the poster boy of the blossoming lo-fi house sound..(with) killer releases and fun-filled, on-point DJ sets’ (MIXMAG). 

Expect a set that will seriously get you moving…

So dry those TLC tears, ‘cos that now brings the amount of artists playing on Sunday up to a huge 41. 

Alongside Todd Terje, Mall Grab, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Denis Sulta don’t forget the awesome Richie Hawtin, Jungle, Adam Beyer, Mount Kimbie and more will be raising the roof of Dublin’s RDS this October Bank Holiday Sunday, and tickets are still on sale…
