Last week I was sent The gLOVE, the world's first five finger tanning mitt.
Now I won't lie, I was a little bit sceptical at first. I couldn't help but wonder if this was a gimmick.
Why would I need a glove with five fingers?
I'm a last minute Nelly when it comes to nights out. I never have my outfit picked out in advance, my hair done and I especially never remember to put my tan on a night or two in advance.
I can often be spotted a few hours before I'm meant to be at the club throwing my legs up against my sink quickly rubbing in my tan with a dodgy mitt.
The result?
Streaky, patchy legs and a gal who says she's going to wear jeans and a nice top out next time, to avoid this problem again.
Could this mitt be the answer to my problems?
What's the suss?
The gLOVE is black in colour and looks just like, well... a glove instead of a mitt.
It's a HD contour velvet glove designed to get in hard to reach areas and to have streak free application.
When I opened the packaging I was surprised at the texture of the glove. Instead of the usual spongy material used, it was a soft material, almost like the texture of a bed throw.
It costs €9.95, which is a little more pricey than my €3 mitt from Penneys but if it lived up to expectation I'd be happy enough to pay that.
What was your first impression?
When I first took out the glove I thought it seemed quite large in size. However, when I went to put it on it didnt actually fit my hand properly.
I will highlight here, I have pretty big hands for a girl and it fitted my roommates hand easily.

I was surprised at the texture as I had never used a mitt like it before but I was intrigued, no doubt.
I spray my tan on and began to rub it into my leg, I was surprised at how easily it was blending in to my skin and how much more natural of a colour than usual the tan had come out on my legs.
How did it turn out?
I won't lie, this product impressed me more than I expected it to.
My legs were streak free and putting on tan was less of a struggle than usual.
The best part of all was that I was really able to get into those crevices, right in between my fingers and toes, behind my knees and under my arms.
The mitt I had been using before this had most definitely seen its day so maybe it was just the thrill of having a new mitt but I do think my tan looked better than usual.
The material of the glove was also great because the tan wasn't sticking to it or seeping in to it. It was going directly on to my skin so I wasn't wasting any of the product.
I did find the shape of The gLove a little bit out of proportion with my hand and it did take some time to get used to. I liked that it had plastic on the inside however, as it kept my hand tight against it and made application stress free.

As a whole, I was really impressed with this product.
It's something different from my usual, grim, soggy mitt that has needed to go in the bin for the last while and I definitely see myself using it again.
