They’re one of the biggest rock bands in the world but U2 have been accused of plagiarising a song by a UK songwriter.

According to Billboard, singer Paul Rose is claiming that The Fly from 1991’s ‘Achtung Baby’ borrows heavily from his track Nae Slappin‘.

Rose claims that he sent the demo for his song to Island Records and U2 heard the track after they signed to the label in 1989.

He is claiming $5 million in damages and a songwriting credit on The Fly.
