Seven people are believed to have been rushed to hospital this evening, following a major accident in the city centre.
According to reports, several pedestrians were struck by a car on Adelaide Road shortly before 6.20pm.
Gardaí have said that it was “not a hit and run”, with an investigation currently underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Motorists have been advised that Earlsfort Terrace and Adelaide Road have been sealed off and to avoid the area.
Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade and several ambulances are at the scene.
