Halloween is one of the busiest times for Dublin Fire Brigade, with bonfires popping up all over the city.
The team have been hard at it over the past few days and were understandably angered when they were attacked with eggs while on a job.
Someone took to the Dublin Fire Brigade Twitter account to hit out at the “chicken” who had targeted them, pointing out that the incident comes just days after one of their vehicles was bombarded with rocks.
Some chicken decided it would be great craic to egg one of our appliances. It was the same truck that had its window smashed last week. pic.twitter.com/OIv3TNW7Yq

They’ve also warned people against lighting bonfires after two lanes of the M50 were closed last night due to a blaze that got out of control.
Stay safe out there tonight folks.
And leave the eggs at home.
Last night this fire beside the #M50 near Red Cow caused 2 lanes to be closed. Keep bonfires in a safe place & enjoy #Halloween16 Be safe ?? pic.twitter.com/KmxitIlDRk
