The festival has made a change to its route.

The LGBTQ Pride parade will start from O’Connell Street and continue onto Eden Quay and past Liberty Hall in the city.

Attendees taking the parade route will march across the Liffey over Talbot Memorial Bridge, towards City Quay, Lombard Street, Westland Row and finally finish up at Merrion Square.

Dublin Pride announced the news this morning via Twitter, writing: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that the proposed route for the 2019 DublinPride Parade and March will see us return to the very heart of our city!

They added: “The parade will assemble on Parnell Sq on Sat, June 29th and will end in Merrion Square with a free outdoor event.”

The festivities after the Parade will continue at Collins Barracks at the Mother Pride Block Party.

The event is set to host artists such as MO, Pillow Queens and Daithí.
